Things to do in Erandwane & Law College Road

Erandwane, the tree-lined quarter between Deccan Gymkhana and Kothrud, is Pune's film and small-theatre district. The National Film Archive of India on Law College Road, set up in 1964, runs screenings and retrospectives and is a regular venue for the Pune International Film Festival; the Film and Television Institute of India is on the same road. The Box, on Karve Road, is a black-box space for experimental theatre, dance and stand-up. Prabhat Road and Bhandarkar Road hold quiet cafés that host readings and workshops. SNDT College and Garware College stations on the Aqua Line are within walking distance of most venues.
