Kids' Events & Family Activities in Pune

Pune has plenty for children beyond the mall play zone. Marathi children's theatre is a living tradition, staged at Bal Gandharva Ranga Mandir, Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha and the civic auditoriums of Pimpri-Chinchwad on weekend mornings and through school holidays. For hands-on days, the Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park in Chinchwad has interactive galleries and an inflatable planetarium dome, and the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park at Katraj spreads a zoo, snake park and lake over 130 acres. Workshops in art, pottery, robotics and baking run in studios across Kothrud, Aundh and Baner, and Phoenix Marketcity, Phoenix Mall of the Millennium and Amanora Mall stage festive carnivals. The year's biggest family draws come in December, with the Pune Book Festival at Fergusson College and Bhimthadi Jatra at the Agriculture College ground.
