Book Launches, Poetry & Literary Events in Pune
8 events coming up across Pune — mostly literature (8). 2 are free.
Pune takes reading seriously, in Marathi above all. The Pune Book Festival, organised by the National Book Trust at the Fergusson College ground, sold about 30 lakh books in nine days in December 2025 and is announced for 12 to 20 December 2026. The centenary 100th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan has been approved for 28 to 31 January 2027 at Savitribai Phule Pune University. Week to week, the listings are smaller and steadier: book launches and lecture series at Tilak Smarak Mandir, including the long-running Vasant Vyakhyanmala each spring, book-club meetings and Urdu and Hindi literary evenings at Gyaan Adab in Kalyani Nagar, book events at bookshop cafés such as Pagdandi in Baner, and poetry open mics in cafés across the city. This page lists literary events, author sessions and poetry nights in Pune.
