Things to do in Bibwewadi, Market Yard & Katraj

South of Swargate, Satara Road runs through Market Yard, Bibwewadi and Padmavati to Katraj. Yash Lawns on Bibwewadi Road hosted Pune Comic Con in March 2026 and takes large exhibitions, weddings and festive expos. The civic Annabhau Sathe auditorium at Padmavati stages Marathi plays, lavani and orchestra shows for south Pune audiences, and Market Yard at Gultekdi is the city's wholesale fruit, vegetable and flower market. At Katraj, the 130-acre Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, with its snake park and lake, is the area's main family outing. The metro currently ends at Swargate; an underground extension to Katraj is under construction, so buses and autos cover the corridor for now.
