Things to do in Wakad

Wakad is the residential suburb next to the Hinjawadi IT park, on the Pimpri-Chinchwad side of the Mumbai–Bengaluru highway. Phoenix Mall of the Millennium, the large mall that opened here in 2023, hosts mall concerts, festive markets, children's events and brand pop-ups, with a multiplex and a long restaurant row. Around it, hotels host conferences, weddings and New Year's Eve parties, and the roads towards Hinjawadi are lined with pubs, breweries and family restaurants. Housing societies run big Ganeshotsav and garba programmes. There is no operating metro station; the Hinjawadi–Shivajinagar line through Wakad was still awaiting opening in early October 2026.
