1 events in nigdi, akurdi & pradhikaran across Pune β mostly sports (1).
Nigdi, Akurdi and the planned township of Pradhikaran form the northern end of Pimpri-Chinchwad, where the old MumbaiβPune highway meets the Dehu Road bypass. Events here are mostly community-scale: plays and music programmes in civic and school halls, society Ganeshotsav and Navratri celebrations, and sports meets. Bhakti-Shakti, a park at the Nigdi junction, and the wooded Durga Tekdi are popular evening and weekend spots, and Appu Ghar (Indira Gandhi Udyan) in Pradhikaran is an amusement park aimed at young children. Akurdi has a station on the PuneβLonavala suburban line. The Purple Line is being extended from PCMC to Nigdi; until it opens, buses and autos cover the last five kilometres.
