Christmas Day 2026 is a Friday, which gives Pune a long festive weekend from 24 to 27 December. The centre of it is Camp. MG Road and East Street are strung with lights, the old bakeries sell plum cake and marzipan, and crowds stroll the streets on Christmas Eve and Christmas night; in 2025 the traffic police closed MG Road to vehicles from 7 pm on both 24 and 25 December and diverted traffic through the side streets. Christmas markets and pop-up bazaars with bakers, gift stalls and live music run on the two weekends before, and the Pune Book Festival, listed for 12 to 20 December at Fergusson College, and Bhimthadi Jatra add to the crowd. In recent years the state has allowed bars to stay open late on 24 and 25 December as well as New Year's Eve.

- Walk into Camp on Christmas Eve. MG Road was closed to vehicles from 7 pm on 24 and 25 December in 2025, and parking nearby fills well before that.
- Take the Aqua Line to Pune Railway Station and an auto to the edge of Camp.
