About Agriculture College Ground, Sinchan Nagar
The Agriculture College Ground at Sinchan Nagar is an open ground on the College of Agriculture campus in Shivajinagar, and the home of Bhimthadi Jatra, Pune's annual fair of rural Maharashtra. The most recent edition ran from 20 to 25 December 2025, open 10 am to 10 pm daily, with 325 stalls run largely by women entrepreneurs and self-help groups from 18 districts of Maharashtra and 12 other states: regional food, handloom and textiles, crafts and organic produce, with folk performances through the day. Facilities included free parking, wheelchair access, baby-feeding rooms and medical help, and the college's main gate on the University Road was opened on the busiest days. The 2026 dates had not been announced in mid-October; the fair has been held in the last ten days of December for several years.
